The inaugural Seminole Lacrosse Advisory Council (SLAC) has been selected. The Seminole Lacrosse Board sent out invitations to members of the community who have made major impacts on the sport of lacrosse and are well respected as authorities on the sport; individuals who have dedicated or demonstrated a high level of energy, knowledge, compassion, and involvement in the sport of lacrosse on a local, regional, national, and global level.
They have agreed to support and promote Seminole Lacrosse’s Mission and Goals:
Mission:
To help children grow as both athletes and people through their participation in lacrosse.
Goals:
- To introduce youth to the game of lacrosse and its history.
- To provide youth the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge, and love of lacrosse in a fun, organized, and respectful environment that honors the game.
- To promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for the game and all its participants, including coaches, officials, and parents.
- To promote a love of lacrosse that encourages a lifetime engagement with the game.
The SLAC was created to provide guidance and advice to the Seminole Board. This will enable us to have input from industry leaders on the latest trends; personal experience; best practices; and lacrosse “know how”, so that we can provide quality lacrosse programs for boys and girls.
